What to see in London and Paris?

Another full weekend spent at Caribou and Barnes & Noble. This weekend Laura spent most of her time trying to develop an itinerary for our three days in London, while I spent most of my time doing the same for our three days in Paris. So much to see in so little time -- it really takes some careful thought.

We're debating whether or not to buy the "London Pass" -- pre-paid admission to most major sites. We need to figure out which ones we'll see in order to determine whether or not its worth the money.

We found a really interesting 3-hour bike tour of central Paris. That will probably be one of the first things we do. Most of our time will be self-guided walking tours of the major sites.

We have a fourth day in Paris, but that will be spent on a day trip to the Normandy beaches of WWII. We'll take a train to Bayeux in the morning and then a guided tour of the major sites, returning to Paris by train in the evening.

Lots of other loose ends to tie up. For example, we thought we had a hotel booked in Edinburgh, but after several conversations back and forth they still have not charged our credit card, so we don't have a firm reservation. Also still trying to make a final decision on a hotel in Zurich.
